STCH Ministries Community Ministries recognizes that life’s challenges are often intertwined, so we are here to help connect individuals with community resources and educational services.
The Equipping area of Community Ministries helps develop lasting skills by equipping motivated learners through practical and proven educational tools. The classes we teach include:
Faith & Work – explores the question: “How can the Lord use me?” Discover God’s purpose for life and how to fulfill that purpose in daily work. Understand your unique potential to contribute in important and satisfying ways. Improve your ability to work with a team in meaningful relationships. Learn the skills to set and achieve life-long goals with confidence.
Faith & Finances – Money issues can be a huge source of stress for individuals and families. Faith & Finances teaches God’s plan for money and the practical tools we all need to manage our resources well! Biblical principles come alive in this highly interactive course as students are equipped with a personal spending plan and the skills to maintain it. Classes are open to anyone who wants to learn to conquer the “battle of the budget.”
Raising Highly Capable Kids – a 13-week evidence-based parenting program developed to build stronger families by empowering parents with the confidence, tools and skills they need to raise healthy, caring and responsible children.
Through Partnering, Community Ministries is deepening relationships with churches and like-minded ministry partners by offering consulting, counseling, training, programming support and more. Fostering these relationships is vital for a healthy community to thrive. Continuing to grow church relationships and ministering to our partnering churches in every region sparks community transformation that begins with the individual family, their local church and the expanding community beyond.
Through the BRIDGING area of Community Ministries, we are working to connect individuals to community resources. We understand that we cannot meet every need, but we want to be a bridge to other Christian resources, including churches and other non-profits, that can meet the need.
The Community Ministries team has created an extensive list of resources. Our aim is to serve within each region as a specialist who can bridge relational and practical assets to benefit families and churches.
Our Interconnecting goal is to build stronger families by interconnecting those already receiving ministry within STCH Ministries into other ministries offered to foster future success.
For example, a family coming out of one of our Campus Ministries will be connected to Community Ministries to offer support and guidance as they transition to a new place. We can help assist them in getting connected to local churches in their new area to help build community and continued healing.
